Chris offered to take the kids one sunny Saturday afternoon and I jumped on the opportunity. I had been dreaming of going to Fintry Regional Park as I visit about once a year to photograph the lilac bushes. In this spot, they grow wildly and and fully. With the lake on one side and mountains on the other side, it is a really amazing trip. You can even hike up a little trail and visit some beautiful waterfalls.
On the way, I stopped at a friend’s house the pick some lilacs from his lilac bush for the photos as you can’t chop them down in a park.
I walked around taking in the beauty of the park and then took some photos. I looked over at one point to see a coyote staring me down from the other side of the lilacs. I was clearly in his space so I picked up and left as I didn’t want to intrude. If I were a coyote I’d live in a lilac bush too.
